For a long time the troodontids taxonimic position has been discussed, but recently, the basic species Sinovenator has attached the group to within dromaeosaurids.

The extremely large orbital openings, the stereotopic vision, and the large brain may indicate some
sort of nocturnal, organized pack-hunting - something that can easily be a synonym of Late-Cretaceous
night-terror, but this is, for now, only spekulation.

Troodontids were probably omnivorous.
